“Google Analytics for Organic SEO” is a daunting term for anyone to comprehend, especially if you are a layman. Thankfully Google Analytics for Organic SEO is not as complicated as it appears to be; which is great, because understanding Google Analytics is important for anyone that owns a website.

First and foremost, Google Analytics allows you, as the client, to monitor the performance of your website. Similarly, Google Analytics identifies the various arenas in which your online marketing campaign, or website, is succeeding and where it can be improved.

Here are common parameters that are used within Google Analytics:

Referring Domains: Search engines make up a large portion of traffic to websites. This parameter measures the amount of referrals to your website. By referring domains you are able to create a network of links to other websites through which you can reach a broader target market.

Top Referring Keywords: Millions of people make use of search engines each day. This parameter analyses your search logs and identifies new keywords that may increase your visibility online.

Click Paths: This particular parameter identifies which page of your website is receiving the most traffic, thereby allowing you to consolidate that page with more audience-targeted material.

Geographical Referrals: The geo-targeting parameter identifies regions from which the majority of your traffic is originating from, thereby allowing you to create promotional content specific to those areas.

Top Landing Pages: The landing page works in conjunction with the Click Path parameter as it identifies which pages in your website receive the most traffic. Thereby allowing you to make that page the preferred landing page.

Bounce Rates: The Bounce Rate parameter measures how many people visit your web page but then leave immediately. This parameter allows you, as the administrator, to improve your website.

If your campaign with us includes full or advanced SEO you will receive a monthly Google Analytics report detailing the progress of your keyword positing and ranking.

Speak to your sales representative if your campaign does not include SEO and he/she can assist in explaining the benefits to your business.

Email us on: dean@iface.co.za and we will arrange for your representative to meet with you.

Many people are confused by how online advertising works due to the complicated language and complexity that surrounds it. At its most basic level, online advertising is about reaching your target market and converting them into business.

We call the number of times your adverts have been see an “impression” and the number of times that advert has been clicked on (i.e. interacted with) a “click”. There are normally over 100 impressions per click, so if you received 1000 clicks your advert has been seen 100 0000 times or more by your target market.
From the clicks, people will go to your website. We call each time they go to your site a “visit”, this visit gives you the opportunity to convert that potential customer “visitor” into a lead. The “quality” of the click is defined by the number of clicks that turn into leads, and thus potential customers who have contacted you. They will do this by either calling your company OR filling in and submitting an enquiry form. At this point, we call them a lead. Its important to understand how many of the leads you are getting provide you with new business, as that allows you to measure the effectiveness of your advertising.

Where we comes in is to help you optimize your online advertising and lead capturing process. By fine tuning your campaign we can increase the quality of the people who click on your advert and become leads. Speak to your sales representative if you are concerned that the number of leads you are getting or the quality of the leads is not leading to more business , and they will assist with optimizing your campaign.

In our 15 years of helping small businesses market themselves, we have been exposed to a number of brilliant ideas that makes a BIG difference to our customer’s businesses without being complicated or expensive. Here are three quick tips that we would like to share about how you can improve your business using the emails you send out every day.

As you have probably experienced, the number of emails we receive today is growing significantly. People now use their emails as a primary communication method and the “inbox overload” provides both a risk, as emails get lost, and an opportunity, to make your business stand out.

One: Make sure your company has a domain name that people recognize

A clear domain name that your email comes from is critical to enable your customers to identify the email as coming from you. Even if its slightly longer to type out, its important to realize that your customers don’t do this regularly and thus aren’t as inconvenienced as you may imagine, but if they are trying to find that email from you – they aren’t going to remember a confusing domain name.

Two: Make sure that all of your emails have a uniform footer

A Uniform footer is important for a professional presentation, especially if your company has more than one employee. Putting a company logo, key contact numbers and most importantly your web address makes it easy for customers to find you again.

Three: Use Distinct subjects in your emails

How many times have you had to search through your emails to find a quote from a supplier or an important email? Email has become for many people how they store their files, especially with bigger email box sizes being the norm. Clear subjects are important to help the searcher find and identify the correct emails from you.

If you have an idea …

If you have an idea that you would like to share, please send it to us. We are always excited to learn new ways in which small business are leveraging the power of the internet.

The team at Search Networx have decided to do more for our existing client base, so there is a few extra’s coming to the table.

To start we now have the ability to rank our clients on the FRONT PAGE of Google, which in most cases proves to be a good investment. With that we can grow your site to feature organically on the front page of Google as well. Now that is 2 slots on the front page and we have just gotten started, to know slot number three we would need to meet.

Mobile has creeped on us quicker than expected so we made sure that we have stayed ahead of the game, we can now guarantee traffic to your mobile site too! If you do not have a mobi site we need fix that today as your competitors are leaving you behind.

We also have the ability to do mail shots to an audience that are looking for your services, age, gender, race, income, you name it, they are waiting for your specials, they have told us all we need to know and all we need to do is push send.

With this I thank you for your support and being a part of our growth.

Warm Regards,

48 days to go to world cup 2010 and South Africa comes to a standstill at least for those fans coming to the country and those diehard soccer fans living in S.A. But we still have to pay the bills as we don’t get a benefit from our landlords or government for the fact that we have to remain open and attentive to not only our current local customers but potential new customers dressed in the clothing and the colours of their favorite teams.

So how do we get these visitors to know about your Company not only while they are surfing the net to gain as much information as they can about the country but also while they are here? Well what better way than to place you on the world’s biggest search engine, yes Google. We are proud to announce our partnership with Google in promoting their services to the SMME’S and large corporations we currently deal with through this trial offer.

So what are we giving you?

1. If you are currently a Search Networx client then we are glad to offer you this R300 voucher to trail your campaign on Google, and

2. If you haven’t been on Google with us before then we are going to give you R500 to trail it out and let us know what you think?

There is a stack of work which goes into setting up your campaigns on Google and as we currently run this service for over 4000 customers, we thought it easier to do it for you than to have you try and make head or tail of what to do once you have the voucher. As anything there are terms and conditions to the use of this and when our Search Networx representative comes through to help you to redeem this voucher then he will explain the pro’s and con’s to you.

So allow me to officially welcome you to the worldwide web and those of you already on Google, let’s get ready to play.

We wish you all the best over this historic time in South Africa and hope that your business thrives in Dollars, Pounds, Euros and whatever other favorable currency they bring to our country.

Until then “Laaaduuuuuma”.
